This sporty 2002 Porsche 911 grew tired of life in the fast lane, and made a new start for herself in Radiator Springs. As the proprietor of the Cozy Cone Motel, and one of the town's most optimistic boosters, she has high hopes that it will one day return to its former glory, and wind up "back on the map." She takes an instant shine to Lightning McQueen, the race car which is a mix of Ford GT and Ford Mustang, and helps to steer him in the right direction.
Sally Carrera is the town attorney of Radiator Springs in the 2006 Pixar film Cars. She and Lightning McQueen are in love with each other for most of the film. Sally's last name is Carrera, reffering to the Porsche 911 Carrera, Sally's model. The name was suggested by Porsche employee Howard Buck.
Sally runs the Cozy Cone Motel. Later, she and Lightning reopened the Wheel Well Hotel. She calls Lightning McQueen "Stickers," first as a way to tease him (because of his fake headlights), and later as a friendly nickname.
In the UK cars magazine Top Gear, Sally was included in the magazine's list of the 10 sexiest cars in the World. The use of a "Porsche" may be a pun on the character Portia from "The Merchant of Venice," who also acts as a lawyer in a trial scene.
Sally is a baby blue 996 series 2002 Porsche 911 from California. Her license plate number is 301PCE. She also appears in the Cars video game. |
